Brian Mahon and Ken Noble recently completed a ride from Ryan Lake up Goat Mountain and eventually down into the Gren River. To say the scenery is spectacular is the grossest of understatements.
Things begin with an ass-kicking climb up Goat Mountain and then to Vanson Peak (You should anticipate problems when you are forced to climb a mountain and then have to go from there to a peak).
The Green River holds some of the Pacific Northwest’s largest trees. This is forest primeval. It has never been logged.
