Six members of the Muddy Mamas were at Growlers for their inaugural mountain biking ride on Sunday, April 10th.
The crew included Tricia Allen, Amy Hartley, Tiffany Ostreim, Katy McEwen, Jenn Huffman, and Jessica Ness.
All six borrowed rides, helmets and gloves from our Bikes for Beginners warehouse. We had one problem with brake-drag on the Schwinn but everything else worked perfectly.
We started with Predator, Beauty and Belly, and the first Road Trail before knocking off Piece, Pound and the third Road Trail to finish.
Big thanks to Mel Norris and Dave LeMonds for transporting bikes and riders. Mel also served as ride leader and did her usual wonderful job.
What would a day at Growlers be without a little carnage.
What a great group…all very determined. And pleasantly, unlike so many of my other slacker bike friends, each one of them brought beer.
